Lumpy has been handed the eviction notice! May 24th is surgery day

After what seems like forever, it really hasn’t been that long but having cancer in your body seems like an eternity; my surgery is scheduled for May 24th at 1pm.

Just wanted to also share again how wonderful my surgeon is, Dr Keleman is one of the few doctors I’ve encountered in my life who legitimately gives a shit about how you feel, as a person, and understands his job is to HELP you, not aggravate you. I encountered the first incompetent on his staff when I called to schedule and she was trying to tell me I had to see the Radiation Oncologist before we could do that. She was incorrect. There were tears of frustration and me explaining that “I really need this cancer removed from my body, please”. She rudely informed me the doctor would call to “explain” and he called within 5 minutes to apologize and assure me we were scheduling my surgery and that “my job is to make this easier for you, not harder”. Love him. He then transferred me to Dee, the scheduler, who was delightful and kind.

I feel much better knowing I have a date when this intruder is being removed and we can move on to phase 2.
